Ken Stuckey is the Director of Talent Acquisition & Development for Pace Industries at their corporate office in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He leads the talent acquisition and workforce development initiatives for their 4,000 U.S. and Mexico employees. Pace Industries is North America’s leading custom die cast provider in aluminum, zinc and magnesium, serving industry leaders such as Bose, Harley-Davidson, Polaris and Whirlpool. His expertise and focus is producing productive talent pipelines, building technical bench strength through workforce development, creative sourcing, recruiting, and retaining technical talent. Ken’s current career at Pace began in January of 2011. Upon surveying the company’s talent needs he determined that Pace’s workforce strategy and recruiting model had become outdated, expensive, nonproductive and slow. It was apparent that an effective method for developing “home grown” talent was severely needed at all Pace production facilities. Ken set out to find practical, adaptable methods that would work in an advanced manufacturing environment using education, technology and marketing to build a robust Pace Industries career brand.

This journey led Ken to develop strong relationships with local educational partners, politicians at both state and local levels, and other civic relationships around Pace facilities. He discovered broad interest and support from these relationships that shared his passion for training college and high school students as well as incumbent associates to meet the technical demands that Pace’s advanced manufacturing plants required. As a result, and with his team’s assistance, Pace continues to be the leader in the die cast industry in successful talent acquisition and workforce development.

Ken graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas with a B.A. degree in Business, earning a full athletic scholarship along the way.

He recently wrote an article highlighting the need for education and published it on LinkedIn: “Success Comes from Educating the Current and Next Generation of Technical Manufacturing Associates.” The web address is https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/article/success-comes-fromeducating-current-next-generation-ken-stuckey Ken currently serves on the following boards and committees: O.U.R. CTE Regional Partnership Council Committee, Northwest Arkansas Council Board, Northwest Arkansas Certified Development Company-Executive Committee, North Arkansas College Regional Workforce Grant Committee, Ventures for Christ Board of Directors.
